Job Opportunity: Expert/Head of Unit (Provincial Revenues and Fiscal Policy) – Finance Department, Government of Balochistan

The Finance Department, Government of Balochistan, is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Expert/Head of Unit (Provincial Revenues and Fiscal Policy). This is a contract-based position established under the Balochistan Public Finance Management Act, 2020, and the Finance Department Specialized Units (Service and Functions) Rules, 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Expert/Head of Unit (Provincial Revenues and Fiscal Policy), you will lead the Provincial Revenue and Fiscal Policy Management unit. Your role will involve developing and managing revenue strategies, ensuring compliance with tax and non-tax revenue legislations, and driving long-term financial strategies for the province.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Professional Qualification: Membership in a recognized body of professional accountancy such as CA, ACCA, ACAEW, CPA, or other similar professional bodies.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in financial management, including revenue management and tax policy development.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must not be above 55 years of age and should possess a Balochistan Local Certificate or Domicile.

Applications can be sent via post or courier to the Finance Department, Room No. 27, First Floor, Block-5, Balochistan Civil Secretariat, Zarghoon Road, Quetta. Applicants already in Government Service should apply through the proper channel.

  • The Finance Department reserves the right to withdraw or not fill the advertised vacancy without providing any reason.
  • Only shortlisted candidates who meet the requirements of the Finance Department Specialized Units (Service and Functions) Rules, 2023, will be invited for interviews.
  • Interviews will be conducted face-to-face, but online interviews may be arranged upon request.
  • No Travelling or Daily Allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending the interviews.
