The Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) of Pakistan is seeking qualified professionals to join its team for the e-Procurement Project titled “E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal (EPADS) System.” This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to enhancing transparency and efficiency in public procurement processes. Applications are invited for several key positions on a contractual basis, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking national project.
Available Positions and Requirements
1. Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
- Number of Posts: 01
- Qualification:
- Masters or Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized institution or a reputed foreign university.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role such as CTO, CEO, Project Manager, or Project Director in IT.
- Proven experience in public sector organizations, specifically in delivering large-scale projects with national or provincial impact.
- Age Limit: Maximum 55 years
2. Chief Software Specialist (CSS)
- Number of Posts: 01
- Qualification:
- MS in Computer Science from a recognized and well-reputed university, with a background in a four-year professional degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of rich experience in software development, with a minimum of 5 years in the public sector, focusing on large-scale enterprise software systems.
- A MS Degree from a university in a developed country and understanding of Procurement Management and IEEE Standards will be considered an asset.
- Age Limit: Maximum 55 years
3. IT Assistant
- Number of Posts: 05
- Qualification:
- Second Class or Grade C Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university by HEC.
- Selected candidates must undertake a 6-week diploma in IT Basic Training, including MS Office, conducted by NITB within one year.
- Age Limit: 18-28 years
4. IT Technician
- Number of Posts: 03
- Qualification:
- Intermediate from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 6 months diploma in IT and must be computer literate.
- Age Limit: 18-25 years
5. Naib Qasid
- Number of Posts: 03
- Qualification:
- Primary Pass with locals from Islamabad/Rawalpindi preferred.
- Age Limit: 18-25 years
6. Sweeper
- Number of Posts: 02
- Qualification:
- Local from Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
- Age Limit: 18-25 years
How to Apply
Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the National Job Portal (NJP) at https://njp.gov.pk and www.ppra.org.pk. For positions 3 and 4, applications can also be submitted via hard copy by downloading the form from the PPRA website. Candidates applying for multiple posts should submit separate applications for each position.
General Terms and Conditions
- Age Relaxation: Candidates are entitled to upper age relaxation as per Federal Government Rules.
- Government Employees: Those already in government service should apply through the proper channel.
- Verification: All information provided during the online application process will be verified. Providing false information can lead to the cancellation of the application at any stage, even after employment, and legal action.
- Submission Deadlines: The deadline for applying online is December 31, 2023.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for test or interview purposes.
